Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much does it cost to join?

A: Nothing, it's free - in fact they will give you £2.50 just for joining!

Q: Greasypalm giveaway £2.50 just for joining - what's the catch?

A: You can only open one account.

When you join the £2.50 is credited to your account balance immediately - however to save on cheque processing fees please do remember that they only issue cashback payments when you have a minimum account balance of £25.

Q: How can Greasypalm offer cashback against all the retailers listed on the GreasyPalm site?

A: Online retailers are always seeking out new customers. Traditionally these retailers pay other sites to advertise for them, rewarding a commission for introducing customers. Rather than keep all these commissions to themselves GreasyPalm simply share the commission with you!

Q: How do I earn cashback from the shops?

A: First register as a GreasyPalm member.

Once registered make sure you return to the GreasyPalm site before making an online purchase.

Often the site will recognise you and 'log you in' automatically (you can check this by seeing if your name is displayed in the top right hand corner of the screen). If you aren't logged in then simply enter your username and password when prompted.

Then simply select a store from the GreasyPalm directory that suits your needs and your sale will be logged by the retailer who will inform them electronically that you have earned a cashback payment.

Q: Is it correct that in some cases I can receive cash rewards simply for registering with another site or applying for a quotation?

A: Yes. Some retailers will pay a cash amount simply for you registering to receive a newsletter or some other action, such as filling out an insurance quote form.

Q: Are there any limits to how much cashback I can earn?

A: No. The more purchases you make the more cashback you will earn.

Q: How can I see how much I have earned?

A: You can check how much cashback you have earned by logging in and clicking the 'Cashback Rewards' link.

Q: Why has a purchase I've made not shown in my reports?

A: All transactions are logged by the retailers who in turn pass on the details of due commissions to Greasypalm electronically.

Some retailers only pass commission payments after their guarantee or returns period has expired - this can take up to 30 days.

Alternatively it may be that either you were not correctly logged in as a GreasyPalm member before making the purchase or that the retailer's system had problems notifying Greasypalm of your cashback.

If you have not seen a cashback statement after 30 days of your purchase then please use their Purchase Notification Form. they will contact the retailer on your behalf and make every effort to claim the due cashback from them.

Important Note: Most of the retailers systems rely on cookies to track your order and due cashback. You may have problems if you disable cookies in your Internet browser.

Q: Why has a cashback credit been removed from my account balance?

A: If a product is returned then the retailer will revoke their cashback payment. In this case any cashback amount that may have already been credited to your account will be deleted.

Q: Why do some transactions I've made not match the advertised cashback percentage exactly?

A: If you spend £100 with a retailer offering a 10% cashback then you would rightly expect a £10 cashback payment.

Occasionally you may find this amount is a few pence in your favour. This is due to the fact that many of these UK companies use an American company to track their sales and tell Greasypalm what cashbacks are due. During this process the amounts undergo foreign currency exchange - Greasypalm round up the exchange rate slightly in your favour.

Also note that most retailers only pay a cashback against the actual product price most do not include cashback against post and packing charges.

Q: When do I receive my Cashback payment?

A: Greasypalm issue cashback payments every quarter.

Payments are only issued on accounts outstanding £25 or more - if you account is under this amount then it will be carried forward to the next period.

Q: What do I do if I have a problem with any of the retailers listed on the GreasyPalm site?

A: All purchases are made with the retailers and they encourage you to try and resolve any problems directly with the merchant, however, please do let Greasypalm know of any ongoing problems. If a merchant proves unco-operative or provides poor service with their members then we will remove them.
